I started reading a great series by Stephanie Meyer! Twilight was so good! I'm almost done with New Moon, and I had to go out and buy the last two books! My friend Lea and I went to the movie last week. It was good....a little lame at times--probably because it is about high schoolers! But Edward was wonderful! He completely made the movie. He might look a little grungy in real life, but in the movie, he is beautiful. What I was picturing while I was reading the book was exactly what I saw on screen. I was pleasantly surprised! There is something about vampires!! My new favorite TV show is True Blood. I think I have a vampire obsession!

Giving Thanks, Twilight, & A Little Dirty Dancing!

This past weekend was a girls weekend away in Chicago. We did a little shopping, ate some good food, saw Dirty Dancing the musical, danced a little dirty ourselves at Howl at The Moon & maybe drank too many "dirty coladas". Overall this weekend was a blast. I highly recommend Dirty Dancing. I do wish Johnny (Patrick Swayze's role) would have been a little stronger--but his body definitely made up for his faults!

Keep Patrick Swayze in your prayers---hoping he can beat the cancer!

Who does this look like?

Just chill'n watching some ESPN.
Like Father, Like Son!

Griffin on, I mean IN the Pot!

Crazy kid pulled this pot out of the cupboard---started out just banging on it---then he decided he'd sit in it. Silly boy!

Messy Little Man

Tonight Jason played some basketball (praying his ankles hold up!)---I did owe him some serious free time! Griff & I spent some quality time together. Ravioli got a little messy. Nothing that a nice warm bath can't fix!
Little man is 14mo. already! Can you believe that? Time flies when you're having fun. Time for another????? Nah, we'll keep enjoying this one.

Fabric can make anything better!

I needed something to put with my favorite new piece of furniture. I love this chair that I got from overstock.com, but I was struggling with what to put in the corner with it. I found this fabric at HobbyLobby and thought it would look great in my room. I already had the little table (metal patio furniture we inherited from our Washingon house). I figured the pretty fabric could hide the ugly table. It is the perfect size. I added the lamp and some pretty pictures of my munchkin. TaaDaa--cheap & easy!

Busy Weekend

This is our "Thankful" tree. Jason's contribution was that he is thankful for the Hawkeyes. I'm not sure he would have felt the same if they hadn't won yesterday.

My pilgrims (thanks Mom)

Made good use of the Halloween pumpkins

So, this weekend was full of projects---some mine, some my friends. Saturday I helped my friend Amy get her store ready for the open house Friday night. Setting up all the Christmas decorations really got me in the mood for Christmas.....but I HAVE to wait until after Thanksgiving. I think Thanksgiving gets the shaft as far as decorating is concerned. Has everyone forgotten that there is a holiday in between Halloween and Christmas? I've attached some of the easy & quick projects I worked on this weekend. I'm very THANKFUL for HobbyLobby--they've got it all.

Jason was wonderful this weekend...he got in a lot of quality time with Griff while I was busy working. Thanks honey!
