Summer 2011 Part II

The second half of our summer has been filled with playing in the sand box, hitting the various parks in town, swimming at the pool, golfing, and spending time with friends and family.  No major projects or vacations.  Just enjoying the summer close to home.

Griffin learned how to bowl on my phone--he was trying to teach Big Papa how to play.

Channing getting some lovin' from Nana & Papa E's puppy.

Griff took swimming lessons this summer. Little Papa and Nana took Griff to his lessons.  Thanks to them, we are happy to say Griff LOVES to go under water.  I don't have a picture of him completely under water, but he can do it!!

Jason & I had a couple nights away from the kiddos this summer.  We have spent some time on the golf course, watching & playing.  We went to the State Fair this year (haven't been in years!) and saw Maroon 5 and Train in concert.  My sister Krista joined in on that fun.

Krista begged me to go down the big slide with her.  Jason refused, but got a picture of us fools.  I have to say, it was a pretty fun ride for $2.50.

We had a great night out with friends!

Recently Jason had a company picnic at Lake Rathbun.  It was a long car ride for the kids (and us).  Griff had to urinate 4 times just on the trip down.

Even sister was annoyed.

Once we arrived, the kids had a blast at the beach.

(she does smile, i promise)

The summer officially ended for us today.  Griffin started school.  Channing thought she was starting school also and had to get in the picture.

My little stud is in preschool!!!

Griff rode the bus to school. I am so proud of him!  He was so brave.  He got on the bus & buckled himself in.  I decided not to take him to school or be there when the bus came to get him.  I thought both of us would handle it better that way. No tears from either one of us! Our daycare provider got some pictures for me.

3 years old riding the bus!

I was waiting for him when the bus dropped him off.  He had a great first day of school and can't wait to go back (huge sigh of relief)!!
My little man is growing up!
