Griffin's Birthday Party With Pals

Griff invited his pals to the pumpkin patch for one last birthday celebration.  The day was cold and wet, but that didn't stop these wild boys from having a great time.

They started off with a little lunch.....

Then off to milk the cows.....(Luke did not wet his pants, they boys just got a little out of control milking the cow)

Ben got up close and personal with the baby goat.....

Favorite spot of the day was the corn barn....

It is very difficult to get all the boys to look at the camera and smile!

(Brady, Griffin, Luke, Finn, Tate, Carson)

It was "loads of fun at Carroll's Pumpkin Farm!".......

What a bunch of turkeys.....

Jumping on the bouncy pillow...

It was super slick & pure comedy for the adults.....

Inside to warm up, eat some snacks & watch the show....

Time for presents.....

Griff is lucky to have such a great bunch of pals!

Kansas City Vacation

We just got back from a nice little weekend away to Kansas City, compliments of Nana & Papa B.  We stayed at The Great Wolf Lodge and had a great time.  We went on Griff's actual birthday, so we had to open a few presents at the hotel.  It was a very Hawkeye birthday for Griff.

The kiddos did awesome and had a blast swimming in the pools, mini golfing, meeting Wiley & Violet (large wolves that come out at night at the Lodge for story time that are far less scary than the Easter Bunny & Santa)

This is Wiley...picture of Violet later in this post.

We also went to the Kansas City Zoo.  Our favorite part had to be the polar bear and the sea lions.

The kids also thought this turtle was hilarious.

I can see 3 monkeys in this picture, can you spot all 3?

Channy loved the meerkats

Here is Violet. Griff kept commenting about how pretty she was.

We also had to spend some time (& money) at the arcade.

Our room was extra special.  We had a wolf den--the kids loved playing in it & Griff got to sleep in it.  He even had his own TV.  Unfortunately now he thinks he needs a TV in his room at home.  Not gonna happen, son.

Very tired after a long day of playing hard!

On our last day we hit the mini golf course.   We had such a fun trip with Jason's family.  Thank you Nana & Papa B!

If it is true, you are what you eat, then Griff will soon be turning into a chocolate donut.  This kid LOVES these plastic coated things.  I have to admit, I loved them while I was prego with both kids, but now I think they taste like, well, plastic.  Griffin got to take treats to preschool for his birthday & he chose these things.  I definitely think they were a hit.
