HA HA! I called it. Weirdo parents ruined Naomi's chances.
Note to self: do not make any prospective wife of griff's bury birds in the backyard
Off to bed!
xoxo

What the???

I know that the show isn't over yet, but I'm making an early prediction that this one is going to get the boot. Due to the President's address to the Nation, The Bachelor was delayed an hour---HELLO---Amy needs her beauty sleep!!! I can't blog after the bachelor when it doesn't get over until 10pm.
I'm throwing out this prediction because Naomi's parents were probably the weirdest people ever. Maybe not EVER, but maybe the weirdest parents in Bachelor history. Burying the dove??!! Reincarnation???!! Premonitions??!!
Nice meeting ya folks!
Run for the hills Jason!
YIKES!
To be honest, I'm actually a little bored with tonight's episode. It isn't what I would call riveting television.

Kids say the darndest things

So Griff & I were having a chat about the state of the economy tonight---he had listened intently as our President discussed his massive economic recovery bill, and was mulling over the pros & cons of this stimulus package.

He turned to me and said "Momma, this country is in dire straits, something needs to change."

I said "Yes, son, you are right. Something needs to change, but even the smartest economists in the U.S. cannot figure out how to set things straight. What do you suggest my dear 17 month old?"

And then he carefully explained the most genius plan of all time.

Make all of those anabolic steroid injecting/ingesting morons fork over their millions and put the cash in a "SAVE THE COUNTRY FUND."
A-Rod, are you kidding me???!!! One of the hottest athletes EVER! Very sad. Barry & Roger didn't surprise me. But who else is on the list??
I'm praying Mr. Jeter just said "NO"
Can you imagine if all these athletes had to give up their moola? CHA CHING!!! People shouldn't be losing their jobs & homes & starving when these dishonest peeps are making serious bank playing games for a living. It just doesn't seem right.

Although Griff had a seriously fantastic plan, I doubt President Obama will go for it.
But I can sleep easy tonight knowing that these men that abused their bodies with these performance-enhancing drugs will most likely be suffering from POOR performance in the bedroom. Anabolic steroids can have side effects of increased erectile dysfunction and impotence.
Oh, bummer for you Madonna.

Weekend in Review

Kelly & Dustin came from Lincoln, NE to visit us this weekend. We hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving. That's a LONG time!! Bubs was happy to see his aunt & uncle--especially since they brought gifts. Aunt Krista came later in the day, but I didn't have the camera handy, so no pics of her.
Sorry K.

Dustin & Griff outside. It was a beautiful Saturday. 50 degree weather in February. Glorious!

We were so happy to see them. Can't wait for them to come back!

So I'm very fickle when it comes to the question..."what is your favorite movie?". Last week it was Stepbrothers, today it is He's Just Not That Into You. Who knows what tomorrows favorite will be, but for now, let me share what I know about the movie I saw today.

It was wonderful.

It was entertaining.

It was so true.

It captured exactly how men & women differ in thinking when it comes to dating/relationships.

I LOVED IT & will see it again. Soon.

My favorite people in the whole movie: Justin Long & Ginnifer Goodwin.

I HEART Ginnifer Goodwin. She is so stinking adorable. I first started loving her in Big Love--but she is even better in this movie.

I'm smitten with Justin Long. My love for him started back with Jeepers Creepers. Yes, it was a lame horror film, but I liked it. He also makes me smile in the Mac/PC commercials. My least favorite people in the whole movie: Scarlett Johansson & Bradley Cooper.

I saw more of Scarlett than I cared to. I usually like her, but she bared a bit too much & she played the home wrecker.

Bradley is a hottie, but he's a bit of a dirtball in the film. He plays the role of the creep well.

Book club or media club (as megan dubbed it) was a good time. We chatted about Friday Night Knitting Club for a little while & then dished about all of our favorite TV shows & movies.
Time with girlfriends is priceless.
I am blessed to have a such a great group of friends.
Coming home and having ALL the laundry done was just icing on the cake.
Thank you husband!
