Kitchen is coming along.....

Griffin is helping Grandpa B. work on the kitchen. Grandpa's sons have disappointed him with their lack of interest in the work he does, but Griffin is going to be the prized Grandson & follow in Dan-the-Man's footsteps. The jack-of-all-trades is going to pass down his vast knowledge of tiling, building, painting, & everything involved in bettering your home to my son.

I am so impressed with how well Grandma & Grandpa B. work together. They don't argue (well, not very much.) They really make a good team. If Jason & I were doing a project together, it would end badly. Very badly.

Yes, that is some good tator-tot casserole on the counter. Mmmm, damn I can cook.

Griffin did do a fine job picking out the tile for the back splash. G-man has to be around Grandpa at all times--just taking in everything Grandpa does. Griff might be capable of tiling a bathroom floor before he is even able to go potty in a toilet!! It is amazing what a sponge this kid is!

Check out the picture below. This is the extent of what Jason's role was in the project. My honey took off the outlet covers. Nice work babe! Ladies, he is for hire....and for a few extra dollars, he might take off his shirt. H.O.T.

a little tile tease.......

look at the pretty colors on the bar......i'm so excited!!!!

Holy moly......how great is that!!!!

We have some cleaning up to do.... some grouting to finish up..outlet covers to put back on....(i don't know why i'm saying "we", because we all know grandpa b. is going to be doing all the work)

i know you all aren't as excited about this tile project as i am, but WOW!! it is pretty super-fantastic. thanks dan & ruth! stellar work!

time to enjoy a cold beverage & play some Pepper with keith & rach (i know, it is 11:30 at night...really should be going to bed...nah, i'd rather play cards.....might be a long day tomorrow.....TGIF!!!)

Wow! What a difference tile makes! Your kitchen was beautiful before and the tile finishes it nicely. Your in-laws are very generous with their time. But, I am sure anytime Dan and Ruth need switch plates removed, your husband will be right there for them. :)

Isn't it great how little boys idolize their grandfathers? And in our case, the grandfathers idolize the little boys, too. :)

Schnazzy! I love slate! Dan is the man. I really like the bar tiles, too! Was it wood before? Don't remember. Cute that Griff can learn some skillz early!:)
